Shattered
The glass angel flew across the room and shattered as it hit the wall.
“JUST LIE TO ME!” The girl shouted. “I don't care how anything is suppose to work or how I can improve my life! I just want to be told that it's going to be all right and I'll be fine!”
“I cant do that and you know it. I'm not going to lie to my daughter,” her father said.
“Why not? Why can't you wait till I'm at least not near tears ever five minutes till you lecture me?” She said
“I wish I could switch place with you honey. Your young, single and can do anything if you put your mind to it. I would give up my secure job in a heartbeat for that,” he said.
“Then take it! I don't want it!” She yells as she leaves the house.
“You never were good at this part,” the girl's mother said.
“No. I'm not,” Her father said.

She slammed the car door and turned on the ignition.
'I just got to get out of here. Go anywhere I don't care. I just know I can't stay here,' She thought.
She hit play on her CD player and took off. She didn't pay attention to where she was going just that it was away. She knew that she would eventually return home and her parents would forgive her and they would go back to misunderstanding everyone's pain.
She would return to the hell that is her work and the torture that are customers. She would go back to hiding behind her comic books and fan fictions. Her friends would visit she would laugh them off saying she will get through it. But till then she would drive into the darkness and cry.
She eventually pulled over at a park and shut her car off. Sitting on the swing she cried into then night and prayed that one day, she would wake up and not be in the real world.
